Add Clickable Action Buttons to Your Zendesk Emails

Turn one-word replies like "yes" or "resolved" into a single click. Klick-Zen adds fully functional action buttons to your Zendesk trigger emails, macros, and agent replies - no coding, no hosting.

Every Zendesk ticket email you send is a dead end. Your customer reads it, and their only option is to type a reply - which creates another ticket update, another agent touch, another delay. Meanwhile, the most common customer responses are one-word answers: "Yes." "Resolved." "Still broken."

What if those one-word answers were a single click instead - a button in the email that updates the ticket instantly?

That's what Klick-Zen does. It adds fully functional action buttons to your Zendesk automated emails, macros, and agent replies. When a customer clicks a button, their ticket updates automatically: status changed, tag added, comment inserted, custom field set. No reply needed, no login required.

Why can't Zendesk do this natively?

Zendesk's trigger and automation emails support HTML, so you can paste in a styled link. But a link by itself can't act on the ticket. To make a click actually change ticket properties, you'd need to build and host your own endpoint that authenticates against the Zendesk API, maps each click to the right ticket, applies the update, and shows the customer a confirmation page. Then you'd need to host button images that render reliably across email clients.

Most support teams don't have engineering time for that. Klick-Zen packages the whole thing: the buttons, the click handling, the ticket updates, the hosted landing page - all managed for you, with nothing to build or host.

How it works: three steps

  1. Create your button. In the Klick-Zen app (right inside Zendesk), give your button a title, style it - colors, border, font - and assign one or more actions: change status, add a tag, insert a public or private comment, or update a custom field.
  2. Place it in an email. Klick-Zen generates an HTML snippet. Paste it into any Zendesk trigger or automation email template, drop it into a macro, or have agents insert buttons directly into individual replies using the Klick-Zen toolbar in the ticket editor.
  3. The customer clicks. The assigned actions run on their ticket immediately, and the customer lands on a branded confirmation page - either one hosted by Klick-Zen (customized with your logo and colors) or any URL you choose.

What you can do with email buttons

A button is just the delivery mechanism - the value is in the workflows it unlocks:

  • Solve confirmation: "My issue is resolved ✓" closes the ticket; "I still need help" reopens it and routes it back to an agent. Full guide →
  • One-click CSAT: capture satisfaction ratings inside the email itself, without a survey link. Full guide →
  • Customer-driven routing: offer choices - "Billing / Technical / Other" - and let each click tag and route the ticket via your existing triggers. Full guide →
  • Frictionless updates: customers act on tickets without a Help Center login. Full guide →

Buttons can stack multiple actions, and every update they make can fire your existing Zendesk triggers - so a single click can close a ticket, notify a Slack channel, and send a follow-up email, all through automation you already have.

Do the buttons work in all email clients?

Yes. Klick-Zen buttons are standard hosted images wrapped in links - the most compatible pattern in HTML email. They render in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and mobile clients. If an image is blocked, the link still works. And if you'd rather use your own image or a plain text link, just edit the provided HTML - the ticket actions still fire.

What you don't need

  • No coding. Copy and paste one HTML snippet.
  • No hosting. Klick-Zen hosts the button images and the landing page.
  • No customer login. Clicks act on the ticket directly from email.
  • No new tools for agents. Everything lives inside Zendesk.
