Five copy-paste Zendesk trigger email templates - ticket received, pending reminder, solved, CSAT, and re-engagement - upgraded with one-click action buttons.

Zendesk's default trigger emails are functional, but they all share the same flaw: they're one-way. They tell the customer something happened and leave replying - with all its friction - as the only way to respond. The result is predictable: low response rates, stalled tickets, and agents chasing confirmations.
The templates below fix that. Each one is a copy-paste starting point for a core
lifecycle email, written in plain language and upgraded with one-click action
buttons (built with Klick-Zen) so customers can respond without
typing a word. Use Zendesk placeholders like
{{ticket.requester.first_name}} and {{ticket.id}} as
shown - they work normally alongside button HTML.
Trigger: Notify requester of received request
Hi {{ticket.requester.first_name}},
We've received your request (#{{ticket.id}}) and it's in our queue. To get you to the right person faster, tell us what this is about:
[ Billing question ] [ Technical issue ] [ Order status ] [ Something else ]
One click is all it takes - we'll route your request immediately and follow up with next steps.
- The {{ticket.brand.name}} Support Team
Why it works: the acknowledgment email has your highest open rate of any lifecycle email - put it to work. Each button adds a tag; your triggers assign the matching group and send a tailored follow-up. Full routing recipe →
Trigger or automation: Pending ticket reminder (e.g., 48 hours in Pending)
Hi {{ticket.requester.first_name}},
Just a nudge - we asked for a bit more information on your request (#{{ticket.id}}) and haven't heard back. Where do things stand?
[ I'll reply with details shortly ] [ This is already resolved - close it ] [ I need help with something else ]
If we don't hear from you in the next few days, we'll close this ticket - but you can always reply to reopen it.
Why it works: the classic pending reminder offers only "reply or be
closed." Adding a "close it" button lets the large silent-but-satisfied group
resolve the ticket in one click (status → Solved, tag customer_confirmed),
while "I'll reply shortly" (tag + private comment) tells the agent to hold off on
the countdown.
Trigger: Notify requester of solved request
Hi {{ticket.requester.first_name}},
Good news - we believe your request (#{{ticket.id}}) is resolved. Can you confirm?
[ ✅ Yes, all set ] [ I still need help ]
If it's sorted, one click closes this out. If not, one click brings it straight back to {{ticket.assignee.first_name}} - no need to explain again.
Why it works: replaces silence-based auto-close with explicit
confirmation. "All set" → Solved + customer_confirmed; "still need
help" → reopen + not_resolved + priority escalation via trigger.
Full solve-confirmation recipe →
Trigger: fires when customer_confirmed is added (or on Solved, per
your preference)
Hi {{ticket.requester.first_name}},
Thanks for working with us on your recent request. One last thing - one click, we promise: how did we do?
[ 😊 Great ] [ 😐 Okay ] [ 🙁 Not good ]
Your answer goes straight to our team and helps us improve.
Why it works: the survey is the email - no link, no form,
no login. Each button sets a csat_rating field and tag; a bad rating
reopens the ticket and alerts a lead within seconds.

Automation: e.g., 5 days before auto-closing an inactive ticket
Hi {{ticket.requester.first_name}},
We haven't heard back on your request (#{{ticket.id}}), so we'll close it soon to keep things tidy. Before we do:
[ All good - close my ticket ] [ Wait - I still need this ]
Closing it isn't final - you can reply anytime to pick up where we left off.
Why it works: turns the awkward "we're giving up on you" email into
a courtesy with an escape hatch. "Close my ticket" gives you a clean, confirmed
close; "I still need this" (reopen + tag reengaged) rescues tickets
that silence would have wrongly buried - often your most at-risk customers.
Three tips as you adapt the templates:
Building the buttons takes a few minutes each: create in the Klick-Zen app inside Zendesk, style, assign actions, paste the HTML into the templates above.
